I’m here to tell you that its easier and cheaper than you might think!
Hold up. What the heck is a bookstagram anyway?
Bookstagram is an instagram account that takes photos of books or book-related material! You can see my account on Instagram at @reverieandink!
Some of my other favorite bookstagram accounts are @pagewithaview , @theshybooks , @caylareads , @lifeinfiction , @roseandmyrtle , @colecordium , @abibliophilesbkm , @booksaremystory , @book_junkee , and @myfriendsarefiction (though there are many more)!
Why should you join bookstagram?
1. The community is awesome!
Want more bookish friends? Look no further! The bookstagram community is wonderful and supportive, and I’ve met some of my best bookish friends there!
2. Up your photo game!
I’m someone who needs a creative outlet. I’m an artist at heart, and I LOVE to be inspired by others in the creative field. If you’re looking for a way to challenge your creativity, look no further. You don’t have to be a photo wizard or a professional to try bookstagramming. Bookstagram is for fun, and the best part is seeing your progress along the way. I look at my photos when I first started and cringe, but at the same time, I can see how far I’ve come. Don’t stress if you’re new to this kind of thing. Have fun with it. You’ll naturally improve as you go!
3. Find new books!
Who doesn’t want to add to their monstrous TBR pile? Hah, okay. I’ll admit that mine is never-ending. But seeing friends on bookstagram raving about a book makes me giddy. I’ll pop that book up at the top of my TBR pile. I’ve found some of my favorite books this way! Plus, you’ll get previews and sneak-peeks for upcoming books on some accounts!
“I’m sold,” you say. Great!
